Review of "Batman Begins"

I finally got to see this movie! I had to settle on seeing it in Fremont, but now I want to go to Omaha and see it. This movie was absolutely awesome. I had doubts way at first when they were talking about doing the Scarecrow and Ra's Al-Ghul because tehy are not the villians you think ofwhen it comes to Batman. Now I understand why they were chosen. They best tackle this part of Batman's story and they are so real in the best sense of the word. There was a paranoid message boarder I foud the other day that said people are going to start believeing that there could be a real Batman because of how this movie plays it. I like the subtle and not so subtle cues at a sequel and the possiblity for returning characters.

On another note, I really like how they did the Scarecrow. He's freaky and as Nick put it, "You wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley." Mr. Nick did say he say this with comic book freak Heath and said that Heath loved it. This coming from the guy who has a list of critiques about the new Superman outfit.

Oh well, if you love movies go see this
My Rating: 9 out of 10, seriously, that good
DVD-worthy: Midnight pickup

Dave & Busters

I was reading the Omaha World-Herald at lunch today and noticed that a Dave & Busters is opening soon at 132nd and Center. If you've never heard of this place they have food and tons of video games for adults. No, not adult games, it's jest themed for adults. Anyways, I went to one in Chicago back in 1999 and I looked around and found my old card to play the games. I was excited until it said it would only work at the issuing store at Clark Street @ Oak in Chicago. Oh well, I was the 7,870,706th person to get a card there. So, I'll put this back into storage for another 6 years and see if it still works then! Until then, I can't wait to see what it's going to be like in Omaha.

Comic Book Store Run

Yesterday I ventured into the deep sections of Omaha to find some unique Miniatures. I went to Coliseum Gaming & Collectibles in La Vista and they really had nothing I was looking for. I then went to Ground Zero Comics at 50th and L and found some great but few Miniatures. I got a Princess Leia, 4-LOM, IG-88, and some fringe for a scenario I'm planning. I went up to Krypton Comics and bought my super-articulated Darth Vader figure from their huge wall of Star Wars. I saw Jen there and we talked about many things including how comic book stores really don't want business. You can look over the same product behind glass for an hour and they don't perceive it. Anyways, I went to Dragon's Lair and got another destroyer and some extra fringe and a booster. The booster had 3 of the ones I just bought. That's OK though, I guess.

Anyways, next weekend I'm heading up to Norfolk and Wayne. If anyone wants to do anything, let me know soon or I may call some people. I do want to go to Hastings and maybe a comic store there, but I'm up for anything including Felicity marathons to do during that weekend.

At the River

Last night, we went to Rick's Cafe Boatyard place-thing down by the Missouri and that was cool. I don't get to bring my spycam around too much due to security at work so I went a little nuts that night.

Why I don't want to be connected

I consistently get these emails from people wanting me to join some online community thing at hi5.com and it scanned my Hotmail and found emails. It sent an invitation email to everyone on that list. If you got one of those emails, disregard it or join it or whatever. I didn't mean to send it. If it had said, "We will invite your friends via email" or something to that effect, I would not have sent it. I don't work that way. If you want to be connected with me, bookmark this page. I don't need another login to some crap I won't use.
