A Look at Windows Vista aka Longhorn

Check out this preview of the new Windows: http://www.pcnx.com/reviews/review.asp?reviewid=2005070003

Help Wanted

I'm looking for someone who can make me something out of metal. It doesn't have to be fancy metal but if I give them a small shape, I want them to make it for not a whole lot of money. Cools if it was in the Fremont/Omaha/Wayne/Norfolk/Sioux City area. I thought I knew someone in college who knew someone that make stuff out of metal. Does anyone know anyone?

Revenge of the Sith: Abridged

Hehehe: http://ter.air0day.com/?script=revengeofthesith

Time to Freak Out!

I'm so excited for many things! My high school class is going to hit Worlds of Fun at the beginning of August! I also found out that WSC is putting in a Starbucks in Conn. Oh yeah, there goes my meal plan. I was telling Nikki in my freshman year that they should put in a Starbucks here. My non-sensical ramblings have come to pass.

By the way, I miss you guys. I miss you guys so much. I really, really miss you guys. Seriously, you guys...miss ya!

Sorry about the brainfart, time to get some caffeine!

Review of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"

I saw this movie a few hours ago and I thought it was fun. The crazy thing is, it felt like one big scary Michael Jackson fun time. It makes no reference at all, but it makes you feel like it. Anyways, I enjoyed this movie. The humor was odd and off the wall like Wonka and Johnny Depp served the part well. It's a nice departure from the 1971 musical. The Oompa Loompa songs are kinda funky but with a sense of Danny Elfman. This movie is enjoyable to all ages, but expect kids to be there. They will also from now on be frightened of squirrels. Never go to Wayne. This is short and simple, but I may add more.

My rating: 8 out of 10, not too shabby
DVD-worthy: yeah, not a bad buy

Peer Pressure Point

Yesterday I went to Dragon's Lair and was happy. The Rebel Storm reissue is here. I was pissed that people were pulling Vaders and Fetts while I kept getting duplicates. I bought a Grevious and Mara Jade with two boosters. I pulled Leia and IG-88, duplicates. I got rid of IG and got an Aerial Clone Trooper. I then was tempted into buying another booster. I pulled a probe droid. I have 3 now. I realized that they were super rare and worth the purchase of another booster. I already traded the other. In that booster I got a Sandtrooper on a Dewback. Not bad, not Vader/Fett/Obi-Wan. I traded in my Leia, a couple Royal Guards I got a while ago and my duplicate Typho for a discount on another booster. This one got me Chewbacca. I was happy I guess. One kid tried to trade my Jabba and IG for his Palpatine. I don't think so. He bought a booster by trading in Palpy and got Jabba anyways. I hope that remains there a while. I found out where I can get a Luke and Han if my luck holds out. I'm also hoping other places got those reissues because I'm going to want more.

I then went to Dave and Busters and hit the Jackpot on one of those spinning light things. I was waiting for 2 minutes for the machine to spew out all of my 650ish winnings. I got 974 total for like 1200 on my card. I think I'm going to save for something cool for my dorm room. I then went to Matt's and played some Episode III and watched Star Wars bloopers. All in all, mo money, still fun. Still tired of duplicates.

State of Total Fun-ness

Last night I ventured on to my comic book runs. I picked up a few Jedi and some peons during all that jazz. One of the games was willing to trade my Darth Vader for his Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, and Asajj Ventress. I really wanted to but the collector in me said no. I know there is another Vader a few weeks ago in LaVista I might be able to aqcuire for the trade. Let's see... Anyways, they close at 9 so I decided to pop over to Dave & Busters!!! Hehe, they carded me on the way in. I got my new card and had fun. I played Need for Speed Underground for a while. I wanted to play the DDR knockoff and Galaga but people were using them. So I decided to win some tickets. I got a shot glass and left some tickets on the card for a shirt or some fun stuff for my room eventually. You can win power tools starting at 13,000 tickets. Outrageous. Well they close at 1am but I wanted to see other things. I went to Barnes and Noble and found no more boosters but I picked up 3 books including Paradise Lost. Always wanted to read that.

Today I couldn't sleep for some reason so I had an early morning. This afternoon I attended Nick Vrba's wedding in Columbus which was nice. Tomorrow I may go to John C. Fremont Days or head into Omaha for more fun. We'll see.

Everyone take on the Medical Droid!

Well first I drove up to Hastings in Norfolk and looked for Nick to find out he left a few minutes ago. I called him for directions and bought 5 packs of Rebel Storm Miniatures. Nick showed up and we went to his unfurnished new apartment. That place was cool. It had an upstairs which had 3 more rooms. I found out later that he worked from 9pm to 9am but he let me stay overnight. I played KotOR and watched Ren & Stimpy and Clerks before sleeping. He came back and we watched Futurama and talked before I left for Wayne.

Rachel was waiting for me and I brought my Miniatures along to go to Sioux City. We picked up Jodie and Sam and along the way Jodie would some Miniatures on the dash. Here are some examples of a totally random battle against a Medical Droid and a Wookiee chorus line. We got to Target and got distracted by toys, school supplies, and Monty Python. We then went to Toys 'R' Us and got more distracted by toys. Sam got Star Wars Monopoly. We then went to Jo Ann's for fabric for conventions and I got some fleece for a blanket...a blanket...in summer...oh well. We then went to Walmart and got distracted again. Jodie was about to buy a little kid version of Luke and R2-D2. I love how the description is Ages 3-8 because at 8 it will be no more fun. We then went to Sam's Club and Rachel got a crap-load of water that took more than 10 minutes but we did see the Red Bull truck.

We went back to Rachel's after dropping Jodie off for Norfolk and watched Enterprise and made the blanket. Sam was passing out. After a while I returned to Norfolk to my huge hotel room. It was at Norfolk Lodges and Suites and we had a suite. It had a main room and a separate bedroom with a full kitchen and another room upstairs. Well, I suppose that's it until I got see Batman Begins again with Jodie before heading home.
