Wristwatch Television

Who knows if it is actually from the movie or a comic or something, but I've never been able to find a non-Clone Wars cartoon pic of him.

Land of the Lost Second Season now on DVD. Never really watched this show, but I love when Peter sings the theme song for his audition for "The King and I"

Faulty Aim Fatal

When Gerald was pulled over by police for erratic driving, he decided it was better to flee from the stolen car on foot, rather than face possible jail time for a parole violation. This was the first of two successive mental lapses. Gerald’s actual thoughts are unknown, but *may* have been something like this: "The officers are only suspicious and alert now... I’ll make them hot, sweaty, tired, and angry by leading them on a wild chase through dark alleys and fields."

During the subsequent foot chase, Gerald attempted to dissuade officers from the pursuit by firing a 9mm Ruger semiautomatic handgun blindly over his shoulder. This was the second illustration of a potential mental deficiency. "Officers are running behind me. They have guns. I have a gun! They have eyes in the front of their heads, so they can see to aim at me. I don't have eyes in the back of my head, so I’ll fire wildly behind me and see what happens!"

Unfortunately, Gerald appears to have been one of those folks who can't chew gum and walk at the same time. Or at least he couldn’t flee and fire at the same time. While discharging the weapon over his shoulder, Gerald managed to shoot himself in the head with his own gun, bringing the chase to a sudden conclusion.

Four shots were fired, none by the officers, who found Gerald's pistol next to his fallen body. Gerald was transported to a local hospital where he expired the following day, thus removing a set of genes deficient in both judgment and coordination from the gene pool.

Halo LAN Results

The Halo LAN in Terrace was fun. Not as many people as last time in Morey but still fun. As you can see, Jimmy got 4th, the highest all night. Quite an accomplishment for only starting to play at the beginning of the year. Oh well, until the next one next Wednesday. Location: ???

ACM Meeting Minutes 9/29/04

ACM Meeting Minutes
9/29/04

Meeting began at 5:00 pm in Gardner Hall 115
11 members were present.
I will be posting these and future minutes on my blog in case they get lost or whatever.

Nick brought in 4 Dell laptops to be set up after the meeting.

Dues are $30 and are due ASAP to Dan.
(Dan loves reciepts)

Student Senate:
Roger submitted a new constitution for student senate.
We asked for $500 and were allocated $200.
We were planning on having two speakers come in but with such little funds, we most likely will have to reduce that.

Speakers:
We can have either a virus protection or identity theft speaker come in.
We could also have someone local, i.e. Dr. Garvin, come in as well.
It was suggested to do a speaker per semester.

Gaming Night:
We are currently thinking of times for gaming nights.
Does anyone have any emulator ROMs?
Lori has a CD of 2000+ ROMs.
It was suggested that with 100 of the $200 allocated for gaming nights to do two per semester as well.

Homecoming Banner:
Where do we want it? North lawn?
The Homecoming theme is: Cats Explore in 2004. Any good ideas?
Keep in mind, we will be rated on color, theme, originality, and neatness.

We hope that will will hear from the Service Learning Program next week to see if we have the grant.

Sunday at 5:00 pm, we will be speaking to the 4-H club about the laptops and possibly networking them. Anyone is welcome to assist.

Nick started mumbling again.

Spaceballs 2?

Wow, 3 posts in one day...amazing, but I had to include this when I saw it. Ain't it Cool News is reporting that Mel Brooks is writing a Spaceballs 2 (The Search for More Money...I wish!) to try to release it before Episode III. It doesn't seem likely that he could finish it befor May 19, 2005, but it's nice to know. Ain't it Cool News is known for publshing almost anything, like me, but check out the article below.

Halo LAN tonight

If you're bored tonight, go over to Terrace Hall at 9:15 for a Halo LAN. Bring a controller if you have one and some food you want to get rid of if you like. I don't know when it will end, but the last one went until 5:00 am.

Tales from Theatre Class

I love theatre class. They give us honors students Ley Theatre in Brandenburg to screw around in. Today was fun...We got a sign that siad that Janet Roney would be late for class. So Jester decides that it would be fun to act out the most screwed up play ever, the Bald Soprano. Mr. Powers and I find a spiral staircase to the balcony and creep out those below us. Eventually, Janet arrives, pissed so close to showtime, while we try not to anger her by being in the balcony. She says we're going to Ramsey, so we sneak out the 3rd floor door and go down the stairs, grab our stuff, and leave with her being not the wiser.
